You will champion automation by driving GitOps patterns, managing Kubernetes environments, and embedding deep observability into our ecosystem. Additionally, you will bridge the gap between cloud infrastructure and data platforms, designing reliable data streaming pipelines and optimization frameworks to support high-throughput data engineering workloads.Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Design, engineer, and implement robust security solutions to protect cloud infrastructure, containerized applications, and data, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to configure and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient CI/CD pipelines, incorporating security controls throughout the development lifecycle.
- Build and maintain customized integrations and dashboards for proactive threat monitoring, intrusion detection, and vulnerability scanning, ensuring timely responses to security incidents.
- Perform regular security audits, threat modelling, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing, automating these processes wherever possible to detect and respond to potential breaches.
- Advise on risk mitigation strategies, providing recommendations to enhance security posture and addressing identified vulnerabilities across cloud environments.
- Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and developers to implement security best practices, including access controls, encryption, logging, and monitoring across cloud platforms.
- Configure and document security policies, access management protocols, and vulnerability management processes to ensure compliance and governance standards are met.
- Develop and implement incident response plans, ensuring quick and effective action in the event of a security breach or vulnerability exploit.

- Event-Driven Architecture: Mastery of data streaming, message queuing, pub/sub patterns, and handling real-time data sync via CDC.
- Cloud-Native Architecture: Strong understanding of microservices design, 12-factor app methodologies, and serverless patterns.
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Solid grasp of distributed tracing, metrics aggregation, error budgeting, and building self-healing systems.
Experience Requirements
- Total Experience: 6+ years of professional software engineering, DevOps, or data infrastructure experience.
- Cloud & Container Focus: 3+ years of dedicated experience managing AWS environments and production Kubernetes workloads.
- Data Pipeline Delivery: Proven track record of implementing Kafka clusters, configuring CDC solutions, and managing relational data layers like PostgreSQL.
- Observability Implementation: Demonstrated success setting up OpenTelemetry pipelines and building advanced Grafana dashboard ecosystems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for unified data analytics and processing.
- Official certifications such as AWS Certified Data Engineer, AWS DevOps Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
