About the Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Community Engagement Practice Lead to provide practice leadership to the Building Community Capacity (BCC) team while strengthening community engagement and local partnerships across the service area. This role focuses on building staff capability as the BCC team transitions into increasingly participant-facing work, with an emphasis on reflective learning, professional boundaries, the Intentional Peer Support (IPS) framework, care coordination, and recovery-oriented engagement to improve community inclusion practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing existing partnerships and building new community connections to extend the reach and impact of the Local. Working collaboratively across teams and stakeholders, the position contributes to broader system reform by reducing stigma, increasing awareness, and improving access to supports within the community. This role requires a strong relationship-focused approach, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to travel throughout the local community to support engagement and outreach activities.
You will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in community development, social work, mental health, or community services, with substantial experience; or a combination of experience, expertise and competence sufficient to perform the duties required at this level.
- Demonstrate experience in providing mentoring, coaching, or practice leadership to staff.
- Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Right to Work within Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check (valid within the last 12 months)
