Join us as a Senior Compliance & Risk Manager!

This role will play a critical role in ensuring that Goodstack maintains a robust compliance framework, so that we provide an unparalleled level of due diligence for our partners, donors, and Foundation network. The role will report to the Head of Global Giving and will work closely with leadership, finance, and operations teams to foster a culture of compliance and mitigate risks.

As Senior Compliance & Risk Manager, your mission will be to:

Regulatory compliance

• Ensure the company and Foundations operate within compliance standards, including AML and KYC on nonprofits and prospective partners.

• Monitor regulatory developments.

• Oversee and monitor compliance systems, escalating any abuse instances for appropriate action.

Compliance Programme Development

• Implement and maintain compliance policies, frameworks, and procedures in line with business requirements, including transaction monitoring and enhanced due diligence on high-risk transactions and donors.

• Oversee a compliance function to ensure Goodstack can successfully and responsibly scale disbursements to nonprofits and meet partners’ requirements.

• Lead ongoing development of compliance systems, including procedures and training programmes.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Conduct regular compliance monitoring and testing to ensure procedures are working.

• Prepare reports for management and regulators.

• Investigate and resolve compliance incidents or complaints.

Team Management

• Create and lead a team of junior compliance staff.

• Act as a point of escalation for complex compliance issues.

This role is a perfect match for you if you have:

• 5+ years in compliance, ideally in fintech, payments, or mission-driven orgs.

• Deep hands-on knowledge of AML, KYC, and Enhanced Due Diligence; you’ve built or scaled these before.

• Solid grasp of global regulatory standards, and you know how to stay ahead of changes.

• Experience running risk monitoring, spotting red flags, and managing incidents with calm and clarity.

• Strong communicator; you can make complex things simple and lead with confidence.

• Startup-ready: proactive, resourceful, and excited to build from the ground up.
