Senior Creative Specialist

A Senior Creative Specialist will develop and create business communications, direct mail, integrated campaigns, printed collateral, and interactive experiences. Produce presentation materials as a core deliverable, including highly-polished PowerPoint decks built from detailed brand guides and established templates. The right candidate is not only a strong creative talent, but also an emerging leader with a passion to fight for the big idea. This position reports to the Creative Director, interfaces with content writers and has significant exposure to business stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consistently provides proven, formal mentorship.

  • Owns high-complexity assignments end-to-end.

  • Understands how the work aligns to overall Acxiom strategy.

  • Owns end-to-end presentation design as a primary responsibility: build story-driven decks, refine layouts, and ensure brand fidelity.

  • Works confidently within established templates and detailed brand guidelines; extends systems when needed without breaking consistency.

  • Translates data into clear, accurate visuals (charts, graphs, tables, and infographics) and applies best practices for readability and accessibility.

  • Creates motion/animated elements for presentations and digital assets; After Effects skills are a plus.

  • Supports event and booth design needs (signage, environmental graphics, and supporting collateral) in partnership with cross-functional teams.

  • Partners with writers and stakeholders to apply basic copy edits and layout copy cleanly across materials.

Independence and Decision Making

  • Owns standard requests end-to-end from intake to first draft, revisions, and final delivery with minimal supervision.

  • Works independently within established brand standards and templates; knows when to escalate for brand exceptions, unclear direction, or conflicting feedback.

  • Manages multiple priorities, estimates effort, and flags tradeoffs early to protect deadlines and quality.

Stakeholder Partnerships

  • Partners with Marketing, Sales, Events, and internal teams to clarify intake requirements (audience, purpose, source content, and due dates) before production begins.

  • Provides clear options when timelines are tight (fastest brand-safe approach versus enhanced approach) and aligns on scope.

  • Communicates status and next steps in a predictable cadence for multi-round requests and escalates risks early.

Success Measures

  • Quality and brand adherence: deliverables are brand-right, template-compliant, and cleanly built on masters and components with minimal brand corrections.

  • Revision efficiency: asks the right questions up front and keeps revision cycles controlled through organized feedback and accurate updates.

  • Turnaround and throughput: meets agreed timelines across multiple concurrent tickets and communicates early when inputs or scope changes put deadlines at risk.

  • Operational reliability: maintains strong file hygiene, version control, and production-ready exports for handoff.

  • Responsiveness to content and campaign needs: can support peak-volume periods (events and campaign moments) with calm prioritization and clear stakeholder updates.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proficient English Speaking and Writing Skills.

  • Extremely proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); portfolio required.

  • Advanced presentation design skills in PowerPoint, including comfort working within templates and detailed brand guides.

  • Comfortable with basic and/or complex copy layout and light copy edits in partnership with writers.

  • Comfortable with data visualization (graphs, charts, and tables) and communicating complex information clearly.

  • Experience supporting event/booth design and production-ready files.

  • Self-directed - but also helps direct others. Not a manager, but gives lower-ranked associates mentorship and guidance.

  • Seeks new learning opportunities in regard to particular craft.

  • Collaborative in nature and adept at problem solving.

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience.

Preferred:

  • Agency experience is preferred for this role - but if not present, supplemental training may be necessary (seminars, classes, or workshops).

  • Detailed knowledge of creative services.

  • Animation/motion skills (e.g., After Effects).
