Senior Credit Officer (Corporate Banking)
A Regional Corporate Bank is seeking an experienced credit professional to support credit review, portfolio monitoring and lending activities across its corporate banking portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess credit applications for corporate, institutional and commercial lending transactions.
- Evaluate borrower creditworthiness through financial statement analysis and credit assessment.
- Monitor the performance and quality of the credit portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide balanced and thoughtful risk recommendations to support credit decision-making.
- Prepare credit reviews, portfolio reports and other risk-related analyses.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders on credit-related matters.
- Support ad-hoc assignments and projects as required.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior credit approvers and analysts.
Requirements
- Degree in Banking, Finance, Accountancy or related disciplines.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in credit risk evaluation, portfolio monitoring, corporate banking, institutional banking or commercial lending.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statement assessment, rating methodologies and risk management principles.
- Ability to provide balanced risk perspectives and sound credit judgement.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
