Senior Credit Officer
Job Description
- Oversee the credit approval and review processes for loans, ensuring they meet the bank’s risk management standards and compliance requirements.
- Monitor the performance and quality of the credit portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulations.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the branch manager or HQ, which may include special projects or initiatives to support the branch's overall objectives.
- Mentor junior credit approvers/analysts.
Qualification
- Minimum 15 years of experience in credit risk evaluation, portfolio monitoring, corporate/institutional/commercial lending, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, analytical skills, credit principles and banking practices, regulatory requirements, rating mechanisms, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical skills, including evaluating financial statements and credit reports.
- Able to provide thoughtful and balanced risk perspectives to business lines.
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Proficiency in MS office application.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese to enable effective communication with head office colleagues in Taiwan.
