Senior Credit Risk Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Senior Credit Risk Manager to support the achievement of a risk-based credit competitive advantage within RHB Singapore. This role is responsible for planning and implementing credit risk management processes in line with Group practices and policies, while ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements and industry standards. You will work closely with Head Office and key stakeholders to strengthen credit risk frameworks, policies, and governance, while proactively monitoring credit cycles and emerging risks in the operating environment.
What you will be doing
Plan and implement credit risk management processes in alignment with Group-wide practices and policies
Roll out Group credit risk initiatives locally, ensuring alignment with Group guidelines while accommodating Singapore industry practices where applicable
Ensure all credit risk-related processes comply with prevailing regulatory requirements
Actively collaborate with Head Office to develop and refine credit risk management frameworks, practices, and initiatives
Interpret and embed MAS and other relevant regulatory requirements into credit policies and processes
Provide expert advisory on credit policy interpretation and the design and enhancement of risk controls
Implement local credit policies and addendums, ensuring timely adoption and compliance
Engage key stakeholders to ensure policies are clearly communicated and effectively operationalized
Act as the Designated ESG Risk Champion for Singapore, overseeing the management and execution of ESG risk-related matters
Support the preparation of reports and presentation materials for both local and Head Office risk committees
Monitor macroeconomic trends, market developments, regulatory changes, and credit-related events, assessing portfolio impact and escalating key observations where required
Maintain a strong understanding of MAS and BNM regulatory requirements and support credit risk-related regulatory matters as needed
What we're looking for
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline from a reputable institution
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in wholesale banking credit policy, credit risk management, credit approval, or corporate lending within an established financial institution
Proven experience in designing, owning, or governing credit policies
Strong working knowledge of MAS regulations, regional policy requirements, and corporate credit risk control processes
Professional certifications such as IBF Certification, FRM, PRM, or other credit and risk-related qualifications are an added advantage
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate insights into practical and actionable policy outcomes
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to apply analytical tools to support policy and risk analysis
Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management, influencing, and advisory skills
Self-motivated, structured, and able to deliver outcomes independently in a fast-paced environment
