Senior Customer Business Manager - Walmart, Pet

We are looking for a Sr. Customer Business Manager – Walmart, Pet to help unlock the next wave of growth for a portfolio of premium, disruptive pet brands. Reporting to the Walmart Sales Director, this role leads the customer relationship for key Walmart pet categories and partners across internal teams and customer contacts to deliver strong omnichannel growth. This is a high-visibility role that blends strategy and execution. The right candidate will know how to work in the rhythm of the Walmart business, move quickly from data to insight to action, and lead complex workstreams with clarity. Strong candidates will bring a learning mentality, challenger mindset, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to simplify complexity while driving results.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the General Mills Pet business with Walmart across key categories, with primary responsibility for cat feeding and dog treating
- Own senior-level customer relationships across a complex Walmart business and lead regular engagement with merchant and category teams
- Build and implement strategic omnichannel plans that grow distribution, assortment, share, and execution both in-store and online
- Lead key selling processes such as line reviews, customer check-ins, and major planning milestones, partnering cross-functionally to deliver strong, insight-led customer presentations
- Translate business strategy into customer-facing plans that will win with Walmart and unlock growth across premium pet brands
- Use data to assess performance quickly, identify issues and opportunities, and drive both tactical decisions and strategic customer conversations
- Lead demand forecasting and monthly business execution with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Partner closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Trade Marketing, Brand, and eCommerce teams to align priorities and execute effectively
- Guide the work and priorities of an analytics-focused team while developing talent and building capability for the future
- Demonstrate engaging leader values with inclusive behaviors that help teams win together, continuously innovate, and champion belonging
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of CPG sales experience, including meaningful experience managing Walmart
- Experience at a similar level in account management, customer business management, or national account leadership
- Strong command of Walmart’s core systems and tools (Scintilla (Luminate)) or other syndicated data sources such as Circana, Nielsen, or Numerator
- Proven ability to manage complex customer plans and negotiate effectively in a fast-moving retail environment
- Strong commercial acumen, including understanding trade mechanics, forecasting, assortment, pricing, and how to use data to drive strong business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity, balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution, and influence cross-functional partners
- Experience leading and developing high-performing talent
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify issues and opportunities into clear, actionable recommendations
- Pet experience is a plus, but we welcome strong candidates from food, non-food, and broader CPG backgrounds
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
- This role is based in Rogers, Arkansas and follows General Mills’ North America in-office expectation of four days a week, Monday through Thursday. Friday remains a standard workday, with flexibility to work remotely depending on business needs and team norms.
- International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

- This role is located in Rogers, Arkansas and will not consider remote applicants or international applications. General Mills will provide relocation to the candidate selected for this role as long as they meet the relocation assistance policy.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $128900.00 - $193400.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
