You will design and operate robust data pipelines, ensuring high data quality, performance, and accessibility for analytics and business stakeholders. The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into well-structured data solutions. You will work in a modern cloud-based environment, contributing to the evolution of data architecture, tooling, and engineering standards. This is a hands-on technical role that requires strong ownership of production systems and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. It is ideal for a data engineer who is passionate about building trustworthy data platforms that empower analytics and business intelligence at scale.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable production-grade data pipelines using Python and modern data engineering practices.
  • Develop and optimize batch ELT workflows, ensuring reliability, performance, and data accuracy across systems.
  • Integrate and process data from external APIs and multiple structured/unstructured sources.
  • Build and maintain data models using advanced SQL to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence use cases.
  • Work with orchestration tools such as Airflow to schedule, monitor, and manage data workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with analytics teams using transformation tools such as dbt or similar frameworks.
  • Ensure production system reliability through monitoring, debugging, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
  • Contribute to data architecture decisions, documentation, and engineering best practices across the team.
  • Requirements:

    • 4+ years of experience in data engineering or closely related technical roles.
    • Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining production data pipelines using Python.
    • Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling for analytics use cases.
    • Experience working with data orchestration tools such as Airflow.
    • Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation frameworks and collaboration with analytics teams.
    • Experience integrating external APIs and working with cloud environments (e.g., GCP or equivalent).
    • Strong ownership mindset with experience supporting production systems, including monitoring and incident resolution.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control systems such as GitHub.
    • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and make pragmatic technical decisions.
    • Nice to have: experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform), data quality tooling, or BI/analytics workflows.
    • Benefits:

      • Remote-first role across Latin America with alignment to EST working hours.
      • Competitive compensation based on experience, location, and skill level.
      • Unlimited time off policy with minimum recommended vacation usage.
      • Paid company holidays, including a full company-wide break at year-end.
      • Access to free data skills training and professional development programs.
      • Health insurance or subsidies depending on country of residence.
      • Inclusive, mission-driven culture focused on learning, diversity, and impact.
