Responsibilities and technologies
As a Senior Data Management Consultant, you will join a team working with data warehouse and enterprise data warehouse (EDW) platforms, developing and automating reporting solutions that enable customers to free up resources and focus on their core business.
A key focus area is increasing standardization of code and automation of data extraction and reporting jobs, allowing more time for innovation and new development rather than maintenance and operational tasks.
You will be part of a team that both operates and develops concepts within regulatory reporting, management reporting, compliance, credit risk, and business intelligence, acting as a trusted advisor to CFOs and senior decision-makers in the financial sector.
The role combines close customer interaction with hands-on work in data and reporting processes, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and automation. We are looking for an experienced profile with solid experience from the financial sector who is eager to continue developing within the role.
Your responsibilites will typically include:
- Working with data warehouse/EDW systems and transforming data into reporting and analytical outputs.
- Preparing and quality-assuring regulatory reporting (e.g. to financial supervisory authorities).
- Delivering management reporting and contributing to the automation of reporting processes, with interest in tools such as Git and automated testing.
- Engaging with customers and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Exploring AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) as part of development workflows.
- Working in a structured and analytical manner with a strong focus on process optimization, documentation, and business value creation.
About you
To succeed in this role, you:
- Hold a relevant degree in data science, software engineering, computer science, mathematical modelling, or a similar field, preferably combined with some professional experience.
- Have basic experience with SQL and preferably familiarity with SAS solutions (e.g. SAS Studio).
- Are motivated by standardizing code and automating jobs to enable a stronger focus on innovation rather than maintenance.
- Have experience with regulatory reporting and/or financial reporting.
- Full professional proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken) is a must.
