We are seeking experienced Database Administrator<\/b> with strong expertise in both SQL and NoSQL databases to manage, optimize, and secure our database infrastructure. This role requires a hands\-on professional who can write complex queries, optimize database performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies, you will be responsible for database consolidation, schema design and evaluation, performance tuning, query optimization, and overall database architecture. You will work closely with development teams to review existing queries, suggest improvements, and ensure data consistency, integrity, and security across all database platforms.<\/span>

Database Management & Architecture:<\/u><\/b>

- Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Document DB, Redis)<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Design and implement scalable database architectures for high volume data.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Perform database upgrades, migrations, and patching in coordination with development and infrastructure teams<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Manage database deployment topologies, data models, and application access patterns<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Conduct capacity planning and infrastructure provisioning for current and future database needs<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>
<\/span><\/div>Query Development & Optimization:<\/u><\/b>
<\/span><\/div>- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views for business\-critical applications<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Develop optimized NoSQL queries and aggregation pipelines for MongoDB and other document databases<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Review and optimize existing queries written by development teams for performance improvements<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Conduct query analysis using execution plans, profiling tools, and database monitoring solutions<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Establish query coding standards and best practices for development teams<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Provide mentorship and training to developers on efficient query writing techniques<\/span>

<\/span><\/div>Performance Monitoring & Tuning:<\/u><\/b>
<\/span><\/div>- Implement and maintain comprehensive database monitoring tools and dashboards<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through query optimization, indexing, and partitioning<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Design and implement effective sharding strategies based on application requirements<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Monitor individual shard performance and address bottlenecks in sharded architectures<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Plan and execute data migration strategies between shards without service disruption<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Optimize database configurations, memory allocation, and caching mechanisms<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Conduct regular performance audits and implement proactive optimization measures
<\/span><\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity:<\/u><\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>- Develop and maintain comprehensive backup and recovery strategies for SQL and NoSQL databases<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Implement automated backup solutions with appropriate retention policies<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Conduct regular disaster recovery drills and testing of backup restoration procedures<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Design and implement high availability solutions including replication, clustering, and failover mechanisms<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Maintain documented recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO)<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Participate actively in incident response and database recovery processes<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>
<\/span><\/div>Security & Regulatory Compliance:<\/u><\/b>
<\/span><\/div>- Implement and enforce database security best practices and industry standards<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Manage role\-based access controls (RBAC), user permissions, and authentication mechanisms<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Implement data encryption at rest and in transit for sensitive information<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Establish and maintain comprehensive audit trails for compliance requirements<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Ensure database compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other relevant regulations<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation activities<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Implement data masking and anonymization techniques for non\-production environments<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Prepare for and support regulatory audits and compliance reporting<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements and implement necessary database controls<\/span>

<\/span><\/div>Managed Database Services & Cloud Platforms:<\/u><\/b>
<\/span><\/div>- Evaluate, implement, and manage cloud\-managed database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Google Cloud SQL)<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Optimize cloud database costs through rightsizing and resource management<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Implement hybrid cloud database architectures when required<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>- Stay current with cloud database innovations and best practices<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>
<\/span><\/div>Collaboration & Documentation:<\/u><\/b>
<\/span><\/div>- Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and Support teams for seamless database integration<\/span>
