<\/span><\/div><\/span>We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of chassis and vehicle components using advanced manufacturing techniques such as casting, forging, and machining. <\/span>
<\/span><\/div>
<\/span><\/div>Job Responsibilities : <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/div>- Design and develop innovative chassis and vehicle components using casting, forging, and machined parts, leveraging advanced materials and manufacturing techniques<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Create 3D models and engineering drawings for new products using CAD software (NX)<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Perform engineering calculations to ensure product performance, safety, and reliability, utilizing simulation data and data analytics<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Collaborate with cross\-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and testing, to ensure successful product launches and seamless integration with our Industry 4.0 ecosystem<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Manage product rollouts, including production planning, testing, and validation, leveraging our agile development methodologies<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, engineering drawings, and test reports, utilizing our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, Teamcenter<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Analyze and resolve design and manufacturing issues, implementing improvements to increase efficiency and productivity, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Work closely with suppliers to ensure component quality and delivery, leveraging supplier partnerships and collaborative development processes.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers, mentoring and training as needed<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>- Bachelor\u2019s degree in mechanical engineering or related field<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- 5\-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on product development and design, preferably in electric vehicle or automotive industry<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Strong expertise in 3D modelling, engineering calculations, and product development, with a passion for innovation and sustainability<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Proficient in NX CAD software and familiar with CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, Nastran)<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Experience with casting, forging, and machined parts, including material selection and manufacturing processes, with a focus on lightweight and sustainable materials<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Strong understanding of vehicle chassis and component design principles, with a focus on electric vehicle architecture and integration<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Excellent analytical and problem\-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to analyze complex problems, leveraging data analytics.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross\-functional teams.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Knowledge of drafting standards, including ANSI Y14.5<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Failure Mode and Effects Summary (DFSS)<\/span><\/span>

<\/span>Nice to Have:<\/span><\/b>

<\/span><\/div>- Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodologies<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Proven track record of successfully managing and executing product development projects, with a focus on production rollouts and manufacturing integration<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with cross\-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and testing, to ensure successful product launches<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li>- Hands\-on experience with Wheels and Steering sub\-system design and development<\/span>
