(Senior) Development Partner, Healthcare & Biomedical, Diagnostics & MedTech
[What the role is]
You will play a key role in shaping and executing strategies to grow Singapore's Diagnostics and MedTech sector, with a focus on supporting innovative enterprises across medical devices, software as a medical device (SaMD), diagnostics, and life science tools. Working closely with companies at various stages of growth, you will develop and deliver targeted programmes that help them scale, access new markets, and build capabilities — particularly in the area of Precision Medicine.As AI and digitalisation increasingly reshape healthcare and biomedical innovation, you will also lead efforts to help industry players securely access relevant research and clinical data, enabling them to develop and validate data-driven products and solutions.
[What you will be working on]
Develop and implement sector strategies and programmes to support the growth of Singapore-based Diagnostics and MedTech enterprises, with a focus on medical devices, SaMD, diagnostics, and life science tools.
Identify and account manage innovative start-ups and high-growth enterprises, serving as a trusted partner to facilitate their growth, market expansion, and capability development.
Engage closely with companies to understand their needs and challenges, and connect them with relevant resources, partners, and funding opportunities.
Drive initiatives that support companies' AI and data strategies, including facilitating secure access to research and clinical datasets for product development and validation.
Work closely with government agencies and ecosystem partners — including venture builders, incubators, accelerators, and investors — to nurture enterprises and support the broader growth of the industry.
Research and analyse local and global trends in Diagnostics, MedTech, Precision Medicine, and healthcare AI, translating insights into actionable strategies and opportunities for Singapore enterprises, and promoting the adoption of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders, including healthcare institutions, research organisations, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.
Represent Enterprise Singapore at industry events, forums, and working groups, and contribute to cross-agency efforts to develop Singapore's healthcare and biomedical ecosystem.
[What we are looking for]
A degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
At least 3 years of experience in account management or business development, ideally within the MedTech, diagnostics, healthtech, or broader biomedical industry. Prior exposure to digitalisation initiatives or a start-up environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of the MedTech and diagnostics landscape, including familiarity with medical device regulatory frameworks and commercialisation pathways.
Knowledge of AI and digital health trends, and an appreciation of the data access and governance challenges facing the industry.
Analytical mindset with excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
Keen business acumen with strong relationship-building skills, and a track record of engaging effectively across industry, government, and research communities.
