Design and operate deployment pipelines for production, staging, and review environments across .NET, Ruby, and Python applications. Build and maintain internal developer tooling that makes deploying, managing, and observing applications fast and reliable. Own platform reliability — define SLOs, instrument services, reduce MTTR, and drive incident response improvements. Standardize code management workflows and enforce best practices across multiple engineering teams. Partner with portfolio company CTOs and engineering leads to understand needs and translate them into shared platform capabilities. Document architecture decisions and build a culture of operational excellence across the portfolio.

5+ years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience.

Deep experience with AWS, Azure, or Heroku — and a track record of migrating workloads off managed platforms.

Strong background in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or equivalent).

Practical experience supporting polyglot environments — .NET, Ruby on Rails, and Python application stacks preferred.

Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar).

Solid networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancing, TLS, firewalls, VPNs.

Strong observability instincts — metrics, logs, traces — with experience using Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or similar tooling.

Excellent written communication skills; comfortable working asynchronously across multiple teams.

Outsized scope: your work ships to multiple companies at once, not a single product. Greenfield platform work — you will define architecture from the ground up, not inherit accumulated debt. Fully remote and an async-first culture. Competitive compensation and direct access to leadership and engineers across the portfolio.
