Senior DevOps Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to join us at Telia Company.

I’m Kęstutis Černiauskas, Head of Identity Architecture & PAM Solutions, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us in Privileged Access Management team. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on Privileged Access control, Identity federation, Multifactor authentication (MFA), as well as secret management technologies, which help Telia employees to execute their daily activities in simple and secure ways.

What you’ll do:

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a strategic impact by advancing our Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Federation, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Secrets Management platforms. You will leverage modern technologies and industry best practices to strengthen solutions that are critical to the organization's identity and security posture.

In this role, you will:

  • Solution Implementation: Participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Providers (IdP), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Key Management Systems (KMS). Act as a subject matter expert (SME), providing technical guidance, design validation, and quality assurance for integrations and platform deployments across hybrid and cloud environments.
  • Platform Management: Leverage expertise in IAM and security platforms such as CyberArk, HashiCorp/Fortanix KMS, Ping Access, Ping Federate, Thales SAS PCE, Entra AD, Active Directory. Partner with architecture, infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to securely integrate identity, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and key management services with Active Directory, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, applications, APIs, and SIEM solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and Operational Support: Lead testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues across identity, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and key management services. Develop automation, monitoring, and operational processes to ensure successful deployments, platform reliability, and ongoing operational stability, including participation in on-call support and incident response activities.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Define, implement, and enforce access control policies, identity governance standards, authentication requirements, and cryptographic key management procedures. Ensure compliance with regulatory and security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS etc. requirements. Conduct regular assessments of IAM controls, privileged access risks, authentication mechanisms, and key management processes, partnering with business and security stakeholders to identify and mitigate security risks.

What will help you thrive in this role:

You are a customer-focused and proactive professional with strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, capable of balancing operational excellence with business priorities.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in the Technology or IT industry, including at least 2 years focused on Identity and Access Management (IAM) and/or Privileged Access Management (PAM).
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience administering, implementing, and supporting at least one leading Privileged Access Management platform (e.g., CyberArk, Delinea, or similar). Strong knowledge of PAM capabilities, including privileged account discovery, credential rotation, session management, Just-in-Time (JIT) access, endpoint privilege management, and secrets management. Experience with enterprise-grade secrets and key management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault or Fortanix.
  • Identity & Access Management: Strong understanding of IAM principles and hands-on experience with Identity Provider (IdP) platforms, federation services, directory services, and MFA solutions. Solid knowledge of authentication and authorization standards, particularly OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML, including application integration and troubleshooting. Experience with cloud identity services and IAM architectures in Azure and/or AWS is preferred.
  • Problem Solving & Communication: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex identity, authentication, authorization, and privileged access challenges. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and effectively present solutions to leadership, security teams, and cross-functional partners.

Monthly salary range for this position – 5400-6900 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonuses. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
