Senior DevOps Manager

About the Role

The Senior DevOps Manager is responsible for designing, governing, and continuously improving enterprise change management controls with a strong emphasis on AI-augmented automation and scalability. This role sets the enterprise vision and accountability for change management risk and compliance, ensuring regulatory audit, and internal policy requirements are met through Compliance as Code, continuous controls monitoring, and automation-first governance.

Design and implement Compliance as Code frameworks and partner with development teams to integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI pair-programming agents to proactively identify and implement Compliance as Code solutions.

Decouple compliance from manual processes and embed change governance directly into how software and infrastructure are delivered—turning compliance from a bottleneck into an automated control system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and govern the enterprise change management compliance framework, transforming traditional ITGCs into automated, preventative controls.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Compliance strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term goals. Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices to enhance Compliance as Code frameworks
  • Leverage AI/ML-enhanced solutions for developing automated approvals, testing, evidence capture and reporting to replace manual processes and reduce operational overhead.
  • Maintain self-service audit-ready artifacts and dashboards: change records, test evidence, approvals, release documentation, and logs for continuous compliance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Security, Application Management, TRC, and Audit to embed compliance into CI/CD and ITSM processes to align DevSecOps controls with enterprise governance and audits.
  • Validate automated control execution, support SOX testing and audit or walkthroughs, identify gaps, and oversee remediation.
  • Familiarity with GRC tooling, ITSM platforms, CI/CD governance, and continuous compliance.
  • Maintain control runbooks, technical documentation, and KPIs for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams as well as third-party vendors, fostering a culture of accountability and ensuring delivery excellence across large-scale enterprise programs and complex projects.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and vendor oversight skills are critical, serving as a primary point of escalation and strategic influence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps/cloud engineering, IT audit, compliance, technology risk management.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries (insurance, banking, healthcare, or similar).
  • Experience managing risk and controls in large, complex environments supporting mergers, acquisitions and/or large scale enterprise transformations.
  • Experience with implementing or managing AI-powered tools for IT operations (AIOps) or software development lifecycle automation.
  • Proven ability to architect secure systems at scale and lead cross-functional compliance initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certifications or equivalent.
  • Hands on experience in building AI solutions to compliance process.
