Senior Director, Gas Turbine Product Service

Job Description Summary

The Senior Director, Gas Turbine Product Service has enterprise accountability for the technical strategy, service engineering performance, customer experience, and future technology influence for GE Vernova’s Gas Turbine Technology. This role leads the organization responsible for enhancing service technology, integrating customer and fleet data, resolving complex technical issues, and improving reliability, availability, maintainability, safety, and serviceability across the fleet. The role also has direct accountability for Gas Turbine Fleet Design Engineering, ensuring alignment between product design, service requirements, and long-term fleet performance for key Gas Turbine Frames.

This leader is responsible for stabilizing and scaling GE Vernova’s cutting-edge HA Gas Turbine Technology, a strategically critical platform operating at unprecedented firing temperatures and supported by a rapidly growing installed base. With current HA GT Train Availability at approximately 90%, approximately 150 HA trains in operation today, and the installed base expected to double within several years, the role is central to improving reliability, reducing technical risk, and enabling profitable growth of the platform. A 4-point improvement in availability across this fleet represents approximately $2B in annual customer value, underscoring the scale of the business impact. The leader will transform the customer experience across approximately 20,000 Engineering Request (ER) cases and 150 Root Cause Analyses (RCA), ensuring faster resolution, stronger technical rigor, improved closure quality, and better outcomes for customers and the business.

The role also provides executive leadership for customer-facing technical engagement, including development of Users Conference content for targeted Gas Turbine technologies and direct interaction with Insurers to support technical credibility, risk mitigation, and confidence in fleet performance. In addition, this role influences the development of next-generation Gas Turbine Technology by translating fleet experience, root cause learnings, and customer needs into product requirements, serviceability improvements, and future design direction.

The role shapes technical priorities and operating strategy across a large, multi-disciplinary, globally dispersed organization and exerts significant influence across engineering, services, product management, commercial, external stakeholders, and regional teams. It requires executive judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead across complex technical, organizational, and customer-facing challenges with broad autonomy and high accountability for business impact, fleet outcomes, and organizational performance.

  • Lead a large, multi-disciplinary organization of engineering and technical professionals, including managers and senior technical experts, with accountability for performance, capability development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Drive transformation in how engineering support is delivered by improving case management, issue resolution, knowledge reuse, root cause analysis quality, and feedback loops into design and service processes.
  • Influence service strategy for the Gas Turbine fleet by identifying emerging fleet trends, recurring issues, design vulnerabilities, and opportunities to improve reliability, availability, maintainability, safety, and customer value.
  • Partner with Product Management, Global Services, Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and regional teams to align technical solutions with business priorities and customer needs.
  • Lead development and implementation of engineering solutions, design improvements, service offerings, and repair strategies that improve fleet performance and reduce operating risk.
  • Oversee the use of fleet data, service analytics, customer feedback, and root cause insights to inform technical decisions, design enhancements, and support strategies.
  • Serve as a senior technical and organizational leader for gas turbine service matters, representing the function in executive forums and driving alignment on priorities, tradeoffs, and resource decisions.
  • Build and retain a high-performing engineering organization through coaching, succession planning, talent development, and creation of a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer focus.
