Senior Director, Licensed Payments Services
You will own the P&L for the licensed payments business and drive the product roadmap, translating regulatory requirements into compliance-by-design features. You will develop and execute go-to-market strategies, close strategic payments relationships, and coordinate engineering, compliance, legal, operations, and partnerships to deliver payments infrastructure, stablecoin settlement, on/off-ramp and cross-border payment capabilities. You will also manage licensing strategy and regulator relationships and support sales in landing anchor commercial deals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for Payment Services
- Translate macro trends into product partnership and commercial bets
- Partner with Product and Engineering to shape the payments product roadmap
- Own requirements for payments-specific infrastructure and evaluate build versus buy decisions
- Lead commercial execution and close strategic payments relationships
- Support Sales in identifying and closing anchor commercial deals
- Drive the product roadmap defining features integrations and infrastructure priorities
- Shape stablecoin settlement on/off-ramp and cross-border payment capabilities
- Translate regulatory requirements into product specifications and compliance-by-design architecture
- Drive licensing strategy identifying new jurisdictions and evaluating regulatory frameworks
- Manage relationships with regulators regarding operations examinations and reporting
- Coordinate engineering compliance legal operations and partnership teams to deliver the payments roadmap
- Partner with trust company and Financial Services Division leads to identify shared infrastructure and cross-sell opportunities
Requirements
- 10–15 years in payments with deep operational experience at a global payments network cross-border platform or licensed money transmission business
- Background at a global card network real-time push payment division cross-border remittance infrastructure provider or licensed B2B payments fintech
- Demonstrated experience owning or contributing to a P&L in payments or fintech
- Strong understanding of stablecoins and their intersection with payment flows settlement and treasury management
- Working knowledge of US money transmission licensing BSA/AML compliance frameworks and state and federal regulatory regimes governing payments
- Track record of driving product roadmaps in a highly regulated environment
- Experience in crypto or digital asset payments preferred
- Familiarity with the GENIUS Act state-by-state MTL landscape and emerging federal payment charter pathways preferred
- Experience launching or scaling a payments product from zero-to-one or early-stage preferred
- Existing relationships with enterprise payments buyers fintech partners or stablecoin ecosystem participants preferred
