Senior Director of Data Consulting

We are seeking a Senior Director of Data Consulting to join our remote team. This leadership role provides the chance to shape data-driven strategies for global clients and influence the direction of enterprise data solutions. Responsibilities Oversee the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data platforms and solutions aligned with business objectives and long-term strategies Define and develop data frameworks such as data lakes, advanced analytics platforms, and reporting solutions using top cloud providers and modern data processing tools Collaborate with business stakeholders, Solution Architects, and technical teams to translate business needs into scalable, future-ready data architectures Provide advisory services on data strategy, governance, and operating models to establish efficient and sustainable data ecosystems tailored to client needs Lead consulting engagements and presales efforts, showcasing expertise in data engineering, data management, and analytics Analyze current data environments, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions for enhancing data quality, accessibility, and governance Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management, AI/ML, and cloud solutions, applying insights to client projects Support the creation and implementation of accelerators, blueprints, and open-source tools to enhance EPAM’s Data Service Offerings Encourage adherence to SDLC best practices, ensuring quality outcomes and effective CI/CD processes Present complex technical concepts and strategies in a clear manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, enabling stakeholder alignment and informed decisions Strengthen and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for data technology and strategy Requirements 15+ years of IT experience, with at least 10 years in roles such as Data Technology Consultant, Data Architect, or similar positions for enterprise data initiatives Participation in 10+ projects or experience launching 3+ products or key product capabilities to market Background in managing teams of 70+ FTEs or smaller groups with significant business outcomes Expertise in data platforms and cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, and GCP Proficiency in data processing frameworks like Databricks and MS Fabric for large-scale data projects Skills in SQL and Python for data engineering and analytics tasks Background in MDM, data governance, and data quality tools for ensuring reliable data Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, including natural language processing and computer vision Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and practices for quality-focused software development Knowledge of data architecture, data lifecycle management, and enterprise data product design Hands-on experience delivering enterprise-quality data solutions such as data lakes, analytics platforms, and reporting systems Competency in analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated through innovative data solution designs Flexibility to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to create effective data strategies Proven ability to execute and manage complex data projects that deliver measurable business advantages Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects Strong communication skills in English at C1 level, both written and oral Expertise in consulting, including stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and clear articulation of technical subjects Awareness of industry trends and competitor activities, applying findings to strategic initiatives Nice to have Relevant data, cloud, or analytics certifications
