Senior Director of Marketing
The Role
We are hiring a Senior Director of Marketing to build the engine behind Veho's most ambitious goals: the person who turns big, half-formed ideas into great work that actually ships, and who makes AI the way the whole team operates rather than a tool it reaches for now and then.
You will work as the VP of Marketing's design partner, taking direction that lands on Monday and having it scoped, owned, and moving by Friday. You own the work itself and the standard it is held to, which means running the operating cadence, getting genuinely great work out of our agencies, and building the AI-powered systems that let the team produce more, and better, than it ever has. At Veho the delivery experience is the brand, so what you ship shapes how the market sees us and how fast we grow.
What makes this rare is how much of it is still unbuilt. The systems, the workflows, the entire way the team works with AI: all of it is yours to design, and whoever takes this on will leave their fingerprints all over what Veho becomes. It will suit someone genuinely energized by building from the ground up, the kind of marketer who screenshots great campaigns and quietly rewrites the weak ones in their head, who cannot stand to ship anything that does not move people, and who does their best work where the answers are not yet written down.
Most of all, you sweat the details, because you believe the difference between good and great lives in the small things everyone else overlooks. You obsess over the experience on the other end the way Veho obsesses over the last foot, and you live and breathe the craft.
What You'll Do
Build the AI-powered marketing machine. Design the workflows that turn ideas, conversations, and raw thinking into finished work across formats, from research reports and customer stories to thought leadership and campaign briefs. Redesign how the team works around what AI can now do, and drive adoption until that fluency becomes a real edge rather than a talking point, the kind of capability most marketing teams are still only discussing.
Push the work until it is great. Own the quality bar on everything marketing puts out, whether it is made in-house or through agencies. You will be the day-to-day owner of those agency relationships, holding them to timelines and outcomes, escalating when you need to without pulling the VP into the weeds, and refusing to wave anything through that is merely fine.
Keep the function moving. Once direction is set, you own planning and prioritization, keeping launches and key initiatives moving with urgency and clear accountability, and building the lightweight systems that let the team scale without adding friction.
Be a strategic partner to the VP. Pressure-test priorities, write the briefs and the messaging, keep the team pointed at what matters most, and represent marketing credibly across the company with little oversight.
What You Bring
Experience
- 10+ years across marketing, strategy, growth, or operations in fast-moving environments
- Hands-on, daily use of AI in a professional marketing or strategy context. Real fluency, not familiarity
- Time spent working directly with or as a VP or CMO
- Startup or high-growth experience strongly preferred, ideally Series B to D. Think Brex, Rippling, Figma, Notion, HubSpot, Duolingo, or Clay
How you work
- Builder. You turn vague, ambitious ideas into a concrete plan with owners, timelines, and follow-through
- AI executor. You have built AI-powered systems and can say clearly where AI drives real gains and where it does not
- Exceptional writer. Your drafts ship with little editing
- Cross-functional orchestrator. You translate strategy into coordinated action across teams and workstreams
- Systems thinker. You bring repeatability and rigor to work that would otherwise stay chaotic
- High agency and accountable. You move without waiting to be told, and things do not fall through the cracks
- Obsessed with the details. You believe great is built in the details, not the strategy deck, and it shows in everything you ship
Compensation
