Why This Role is Exciting
As a key member of our people leadership team, you have a unique opportunity to own our global Total Rewards and People Operations, designing the strategic frameworks and operational infrastructure that attract, grow, engage, and empower our employees across the globe.
This role is both hands-on and strategic: you will scale our global compensation and benefits, guide our international expansion, execute executive compensation, and evolve our HR technology roadmap toward an AI-first approach.
Leading a high-performing team, you will build data-backed, scalable programs that meet our employees where they are today while positioning Optro for future growth.
Key Responsibilities
Global Total Rewards & Operations: Own and scale global benefits, compensation, and people operations to ensure equitable, market-aligned, and data-backed programs across all regions, inclusive of supporting a high-performance culture, ensuring pay for performance, and designing rewards to help attract and retain top talent.
Data-Driven Insights: Utilize robust market and internal data to interpret compensation and benefits trends, delivering actionable, objective insights to drive balanced business decisions.
Executive & Board Compensation: Execute executive compensation and equity strategies, partnering closely with the executive team and supporting Board of Directors' needs, including the Compensation Committee.
Global Expansion: Drive the people and rewards strategy for our global expansion, taking local culture and compliance requirements into consideration to ensure seamless operations in new international markets.
AI-First HR Technology: Oversee and modernize the HR technology infrastructure and roadmap, leveraging emerging trends to transition our operations to an AI-first model.
Leader Enablement & Self-Service: Evolve and refine the HR delivery model to enable leader self-service, empowering managers with the operational tools, workflows, and support they need to lead effectively.
Global Mobility & Compliance: Oversee immigration, compliance, and mobility programs to seamlessly support a distributed and growing global employee base.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Total Rewards and People Operations team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Attributes for a Successful Candidate
Minimum of 10 years of Total Rewards and People Operations experience within dynamic scaling companies. You must have experience working in both private equity-backed and public companies.
Analytical & Objective: Deeply analytical mindset with a track record of building rewards structures that are strictly defensible, fiscally sustainable, and backed by clear data metrics.
Strategic & Hands-On: Excited about contributing at both hands-on and strategic levels to build programs and processes that scale for exponential growth.
Trusted Partner: Earns the role of a trusted strategic partner for leaders across the business, including the executive team, by providing reliable, data-backed guidance.
Collaborative Builder: Builds strong cross-functional relationships (finance, legal, IT) and identifies the best external partners to help scale operations efficiently.
Forward-Thinking Mindset: Keeps a pulse on new technologies, AI trends, and evolving employee expectations to modernize and future-proof our people systems.
Execution Focus: Resourceful and operationally focused in a fast-paced environment, with a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
Compensation
For this role, the target salary range is $230,000 - $260,000
