Our Water Business Group is expanding, and we’re seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter to join our Water Utilities team in Brisbane. Whether you’re stepping into a senior role or looking for your next technical challenge, WSP offers the support, flexibility, and career pathways to help you thrive.
What You’ll Be Working On
You’ll contribute to concept and detailed electrical design drafting across a range of projects, including:
- Wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs)
- Water and wastewater pumping stations
- Wastewater Network Renewal
- Reservoir Renewal and Improvements
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering drawings from sketches, calculations, and specifications
- Support the electrical design team in developing project designs
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure cohesive design integration
- Manage project setup and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyse client requirements to ensure all specifications are captured
- Apply quality control processes to maintain drawing accuracy and compliance
About You
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or above; or relevant experience
- Experience in a consulting environment (highly regarded)
- Strong drafting and detailing skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Experience in utilities and water infrastructure projects
- Skilled in interpreting engineering designs and producing layouts, schematics, and general arrangements
- MicroStation and 12D experience is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

How You’ll Work
You’ll be based in our Brisbane office, with flexible hybrid working and site involvement as required. You’ll also be part of WSP’s national CAD / Digital Engineering community, contributing to major programs while collaborating with teams across QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, and WA.
You’ll work with leading water authorities on projects that improve resilience, sustainability, and community outcomes—while continuing to build your technical profile nationally.
