The Opportunity

At Allegro MicroSystems, we are "Innovation with Purpose," and our product engineering team is the vital link between design and high-volume manufacturing success. As a Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Product Engineering, you will be a developing professional responsible for the technical health and profitability of our market-leading semiconductor solutions. This role offers the opportunity to act as the primary technical owner for a portfolio of products, where your insights into yield and data trends will directly influence our global manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

What You Will Do

  • Product Ownership: Act as the primary technical expert for an assigned portfolio of devices within the high-volume manufacturing environment, ensuring product stability and quality.
  • Data-Driven Yield Improvement: Analyze complex yield, test, and parametric data sets to identify trends, investigate excursions, and drive corrective actions to optimize production output.
  • Cost Reduction Initiatives: Lead and manage small-scale projects focused on reducing product costs through test time reduction, yield enhancement, and process optimization.
  • Quality & Failure Analysis: Partner with Failure Analysis (FA) and Quality teams to determine the root cause of customer returns, implementing robust solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Work under general supervision to resolve manufacturing challenges, ensuring that assigned products meet all performance and profitability targets.

What You Will Bring

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven experience in a product, test, or yield engineering role within the semiconductor industry.
  • Technical Mastery:
    • Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics and manufacturing processes.
    • Proficiency in statistical data analysis and the use of software tools such as JMP.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams to solve complex technical issues.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable engineering recommendations.
