The Senior Executive, Admissions and Outreach strengthens the University’s strategic admissions and outreach efforts for MSc and PhD programmes, with a focus on expanding engagement in China and attracting high-quality global applicants. Through data-informed admissions support, cross-functional coordination, and a positive applicant experience, the role contributes to the University’s mission of advancing academic excellence, internationalisation, and a diverse, high-calibre graduate student community.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Overall Graduate Admissions, Outreach and Market Development Strategies.
Support MSc/PhD admissions and outreach to meet enrolment targets and strengthen the graduate recruitment pipeline.
Drive China-market recruitment through market analysis, planning, partnerships, outreach channels, and compliance oversight.
Develop dashboards and analyse admissions, outreach, conversion, and market data to guide recruitment actions.
Coordinate with school and university stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and a professional applicant experience.
Graduate Admissions – Strategic and Operational Administration.
Support admissions target-setting, intake planning, and budgeting, with focus on China recruitment priorities.
Coordinate eligibility, compliance, documentation, and audit trail requirements for local and international applicants.
Provide Chinese-language applicant support and monitor response times to ensure timely, accurate engagement.
Improve admissions processes to enhance conversion, reduce gaps, and support a smoother applicant journey.
Manage admissions communications across Chinese digital platforms with accurate, consistent messaging.
Outreach – Market Expansion and Engagement.
Manage China-focused candidate funnels from awareness to enrolment, with coordinated channels, timelines, and follow-ups.
Build partnerships with Chinese agents, universities, alumni, and institutions to expand outreach and referral pipelines.
Plan and support recruitment events for China-based applicants with locally tailored content and engagement.
Localise recruitment content for China audiences while ensuring accuracy, brand alignment, and regulatory compliance.
Track outreach effectiveness, diversity, inclusion, and geographic reach, while supporting consistent campaign messaging.
Stay updated on China regulations, digital platform requirements, mobility policies, and market trends to keep outreach relevant and compliant.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in admissions, international recruitment, or related strategic roles, with demonstrated success and strong familiarity with the China market.
Strong knowledge of the China market, including student recruitment trends, education landscape, stakeholder networks, and market dynamics.
Strong programme or project management skills across complex pipelines and varying stakeholders.
Deep understanding of higher education admissions, data privacy and regulatory landscapes.
Excellent cross-cultural communication and relationship-building.
Data-driven mindset with hands-on analytics experience.
