Senior Executive - Data Science and Analytics
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate Data Scientist to help drive innovation and analytics in optimizing our research, marketing, scheduling and sales functions. In this role, you will build machine learning models using vast data sets.
Strong experience in data analysis, building and implementing AI/ML models and working knowledge of Python/R and statistics are a must.
Your primary focus will be on developing intelligent prediction, profiling and scoring models, managing existing ones, and presenting the output to stakeholders. You should be proactive, results-oriented, a self-starter and possess excellent communication skills with a strong desire to learn. You will also contribute to projects involving large volumes of audio and video data, as well as leveraging large language models (LLMs) and generative AI (GenAI) technologies. Additionally, you must have a strong acumen for solving problems with a research-oriented approach.
Key responsibilities:
Build analytical models such as forecasting, optimization, recommendation engines by leveraging the vast amount of user, behavior and consumption data to enhance the end-user experience
Develop and refine sophisticated AI models centered on audio and video data to elevate the quality of our content.
Possess a working knowledge of cutting-edge technologies such as large language models (LLMs) and generative AI (GenAI) and demonstrate their practical application.
Leverage advanced analytics to decode social media data from Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, employing sentiment analysis, theme generation, and Named Entity Recognition (NER) to gain deeper insights into user interactions.
Write modular, efficient code to streamline the production and deployment of models.
Provide cutting-edge analytical capabilities and ensure best in class analytic service delivery for business initiatives.
Proactively identify new opportunities and problems that can be addressed through analytics, demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset.
Capable of structuring a business problem to an analytical problem and able to set up the model framework by identifying relevant approach and techniques and driven for implementation
Taking the lead and liaising with business and other stakeholders, discussing, presenting, and bringing closure to projects
Deploy an agile process for analytics - generating hypothesis, running experiments, and sharing of outcomes/insights, etc. with business
Support the deployment, maintenance and ad-hoc analysis required for existing or new analytical models
Ensure appropriate capture of data sources and metrics to share across the enterprise
Skills and attributes for success:
Strong knowledge of statistics with experience generating models using techniques such as segmentation, clustering, multivariate regression, decision trees, forecasting, time series and nonlinear modelling, optimization models
Proficiency with one of the statistical programming tools R/Python is a must
Ability to extract, aggregate, structure and manage large volume data sets using database querying language eg. SQL
Experience with big data platforms and tools (eg. Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Pig, Cassandra, Storm) is preferred but not mandatory
Working knowledge of digital analytics tools like Site Catalyst, Web trends, Google analytics, Omniture is desired but not mandatory
Demonstrated expertise in handling audio and video data, with experience in building models for Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS), Speech-to-Text (STT), as well as leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI).
Preferred education and experience:
Graduate or master’s degree in engineering, math, statistics, economics, business analytics or relevant quantitative discipline
Strong academic performance with emphasis on analytics and business application is required
2 to 4 years of experience in advanced analytics – predictive analytics, statistical analytics, clustering, segmentation
