Senior Field Engineer

Perform all responsibilities as listed below:

  1. participate in the project through all phases of the project cycle, including: construction reporting, billing, take-offs, quantities, submittals, ordering, customer documents, project timecards, invoice processing, final documents submittals;
  2. establish baseline schedule reporting based on job estimates;
  3. request submittals and shop drawings as required; collect and enter daily quantities;
  4. coordinate and support timely completion of traffic control plans, equipment mobilization, safety plans, purchase ordering, job costing, and other duties as required;
  5. request, review, and track shop drawings and submittals from subcontractors and submit them to the owner and design team through the Procore construction management system;
  6. review and interpret civil engineering plans, profiles, cross-sections, and specifications to verify constructability and compliance with applicable standards (e.g., DOT, municipal, and project-specific requirements);
  7. review and provide input on plans and specifications throughout the design progression at 60%, 90% and 100%;
  8. perform engineering quantity calculations and material take-offs on Bluebeam based on civil construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents, including roadway, utility, structural, and traffic control elements for heavy civil and infrastructure projects;
  9. produce preliminary plans and drawings that further detail portions of the project for constructability and perform calculations to ensure that the appropriate means and methods are utilized.
