Senior/ Finance Executive (Township)

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, your job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage grants, assets, inter-funds transfers, and tax reporting to ensure accurate financial administration for the town council
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with financial reporting guidelines to maintain regulatory standards
  • Prepare and review the annual budget to support financial planning and resource allocation
  • Perform budgetary controls and manage arrears to optimize financial performance
  • Prepare financial statements that accurately reflect the town council’s financial position
  • Maintain proper records of financial transactions to uphold strong internal controls
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior to support finance operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting / Finance /ACCA with 3 - 5 years of full-set accounting experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and meet tight deadlines under pressure
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
  • Prior supervisory experience and staff management skills are advantageous
  • Availability to start within a short period is preferred

  • Employment Type: 2-year renewable contract with benefits
  • Working Location: Northwest - Bukit Gombak
  • Work Schedule: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (Mon-Fri); 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (First Sat of each month)
