We’re committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where every voice is valued, and different perspectives fuel our innovation.

Native by Numa is our premium UK brand: heritage-rich properties in prime urban locations, blending the warmth of a boutique hotel with the consistency of a professionally run platform. We're growing the UK portfolio significantly, and we need financial infrastructure that keeps pace.

The role

You'll own the UK finance function end-to-end — treasury, control, reporting, and tax — across two UK entities (Native entity and Numa Stays UK). This is a senior, broad scope: clean numbers, real financial control, and liquidity management that gives the business the clarity to make good decisions fast.

You'll report to Rasmus Steen (VP Finance Operations) and work closely with the Group Director of Finance, Group CFO and Regional Financial Controller, UK. You'll also be the primary financial contact for property owners, external auditors, and tax advisors — and you'll orchestrate a two-person shared service team.

About the position:

Month-end close & management reporting

  • Deliver a clean month-end close to WD+5 consistently. Produce P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet management accounts that central finance and the CFO can use. Own variance analysis that explains the why, not just the what.

Treasury & owner payments

  • Full ownership of UK bank accounts and banking relationships. Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast and ensure the business meets all financial obligations.
  • Oversee management agreement profit-sharing payments to property owners — a critical and high-visibility part of the role.

Statutory tax compliance

  • Own VAT, Corporation Tax, and PAYE — filed on time, every time.
  • Coordinate with tax advisors and maintain clean audit trails across both entities.

Statutory audit management

  • Own the audit cycle. There's a real ambition here: take the audit cycle from where it is today to six months by 2027. That's a meaningful target — and achievable if the monthly close infrastructure is solid. IFRS and UK GAAP proficiency are both required.

Directing the shared service team

  • Direct the work of two controllers in the shared service centre without formal line management. Review their outputs, ensure numbers are correctly posted, and maintain quality control on all UK-entity work.

Process improvement & ERP migration

  • Drive automation and standardisation across finance workflows. You'll also play a key role in the migration from Exact ERP to Microsoft Dynamics planned for 2026.

About You:

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with 5–8 years post-qualified experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in multi-site financial control — hospitality, property management, real estate, or similarly complex operational environments preferred.
  • You're comfortable operating across both IFRS and UK GAAP — switching between them as the role demands.
  • Proven track record managing statutory audits end-to-end, including external auditor relationships.
  • You lead through clarity and credibility — influencing a shared service team to deliver the standard you need.
  • You're proactive and commercially sharp — you bring observations with a point of view, not just a report.
