Job Summary: The Senior Home Care Technician ensures the safe delivery, setup, and use of home medical equipment. This role aids warehouse operations by performing quality assurance checks, equipment repair, equipment cleaning, oxygen transfilling services, receiving and shipping duties. They support the department to maintain high-quality products and services provided by Saint Francis Health System.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid State of Oklahoma Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Report that meets Saint Francis Health System (SFHS) guidelines. Oklahoma Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Department of Transportation (DOT) certification with HazMat endorsement.

Work Experience: Minimum 3 years related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software. Sound knowledge of Home Care Equipment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information. Strong ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to train and mentor others. Sound ability to maintain professional and courteous and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in adynamic work environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Delivers medically necessary home medical equipment. Educates patients on proper use of equipment in a home setting. Completes and acquires necessary documentation as required. Performs routine liquid oxygen transfill duties and deliveries. Processes all deliveries in an accurate and timely manner. Performs routine preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment as required in accordance with policies and procedures. Mentors and assists other home care technicians in the performance of duties.

Decision Making: Independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.

Working Relationships: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise). Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.

Special Job Dimensions: Ability to be on call in a rotation schedule.
