Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Human Resources Department is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior HR Analyst to support our manufacturing operations.

This role functions as an independent contributor and subject matter expert, leading workforce planning, recruiting strategy, and HR systems processes within a fast-paced, three-shift manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, this position plays a critical role in advancing data-driven workforce strategies, process standardization, and operational excellence, while influencing key stakeholders across the organization.

This position is located in Long Beach, California. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead workforce planning, analytics, headcount forecasting, labor optimization, and data-driven insights that inform business strategy and daily operations.

  • Own and optimize full-cycle talent acquisition for hourly production and professional roles including workforce planning alignment, requisition management, sourcing, and selection.

  • Lead onboarding strategy and execution to deliver a consistent, compliant, and engaging new hire experience across shifts and departments.

  • Administer Team Member information changes in Workday, ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy.

  • Design and implement team member engagement and development strategies, leveraging survey data, trend analysis, and structured problem-solving to drive measurable improvements.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including development of dashboards, reporting tools, and scalable HR processes.

  • Partner with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into HR solutions, influencing decisions through data and insights.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Analytics, or a closely related field OR equivalent professional work experience relevant to this position

  • Experience in workforce analytics, recruiting, and HRIS systems

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and influence decisions

  • Experience supporting both hourly manufacturing and professional populations

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and partner effectively across all organizational levels

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience in a manufacturing or Toyota production environment

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and emerging AI-enabled HR technologies

  • Exposure to union labor environments and labor relations processes

  • Demonstrated application of A3 thinking and/or TPS-based problem solving to drive structured, data-driven improvements

  • Workday HRIS experience

The annual base salary range for this position is $103,800.00 - $168,600.00.
