Senior IT Business Analyst (Digital Systems & Compliance)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support digital and system initiatives within a structured and compliance-driven environment. This role involves managing projects from requirements gathering through to implementation, ensuring solutions meet business objectives, operational needs, and regulatory standards.

This is a hands-on role suited for candidates who are comfortable working across the full project lifecycle and engaging stakeholders across business, IT, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Delivery

  • Manage assigned initiatives across the full project lifecycle, from requirements analysis to implementation and post-go-live validation
  • Ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered as expected
  • Act as the key point of contact for business stakeholders throughout the project

Business Analysis & Requirements

  • Gather and analyze business needs, operational workflows, and system requirements
  • Translate requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to align stakeholders on scope and solution approach
  • Maintain structured documentation suitable for audit and governance requirements

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure solutions align with data protection, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Support projects in environments with strong governance and audit expectations
  • Work with stakeholders to incorporate compliance considerations into system design

Vendor & Solution Engagement

  • Support evaluation and selection of system solutions, including fit-gap analysis
  • Participate in RFP and vendor evaluation processes where required
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure solutions meet business and technical expectations

Testing & Implementation

  • Define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and validation approach
  • Support testing phases such as SIT and UAT
  • Assist in issue tracking, resolution, and deployment readiness
  • Support post-implementation validation and transition to operations

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT or system implementation projects
  • Experience working in structured or compliance-driven environments such as financial services, government, healthcare, or similar
  • Proven involvement across the full project lifecycle, including testing and implementation

Skills

  • Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Ability to engage stakeholders across business, IT, and vendors
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Good to Have

  • Experience with enterprise systems or vendor solutions (e.g. ERP, CRM, POS, or similar platforms)
  • Exposure to vendor selection, RFP processes, or system implementation projects
  • Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or Agile-related certifications
