The Senior IT Project Manager plans, executes, and finalizes projects for the firm.

Job Description

In this capacity, the Senior IT Project Manager will:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams and resources responsible for successful delivery and completion of complex initiatives;
  • Manage project team performance, set clear goals, and foster continuous professional development in project delivery practices;
  • Define project scope, goals, timelines, and resources required; identify the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals within deadlines and budgets;
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables;
  • Drive project teams through adoption of the solution development life cycle (SDLC) through coaching and articulation of process value;
  • Drive complex and high priority projects through SDLC stages/phases while informing proper stakeholder bodies of progress;
  • Create artifacts and documentation as needed, such as a project charter, project plan/schedule, deployment/rollout strategy and other project management deliverables to summarize scope, schedule, and budget;
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations;
  • Conduct project kickoffs, postmortems and other project related meetings;
  • Assist with capturing requirements, analyzing data and defining operational procedures;
  • Facilitate coordination and collaboration between department stakeholders, project leadership and team members;
  • Apply critical thinking to contribute on solutions to processes and technology;
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate issues/risks and manage scope/budget changes effectively;
  • Work beyond scheduled hours as required; and
  • Handle additional related projects as necessary.

Proficiencies:

  • Expert knowledge of project management best practices;
  • Advanced knowledge of software development procedures and tools;
  • Advanced knowledge of customer service practices and philosophy;
  • Advanced understanding of technical terms, documentation and technologies;
  • Advanced understanding of ITSM (IT Service Management) policies, standards and procedures;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications; and
  • Advanced proficiency in Atlassian tools such as Confluence, Jira, Portfolio and Structure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Project Management Professional [PMP] certification (preferred);
  • At least 8 years of information technology experience;
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience;
  • At least 5 years of experience in area of systems/network/information security;
  • At least 5 years’ of experience in a professional services or legal environment (preferred);
  • At least 3 years’ executive level engagement and customer service; and
  • At least 3 years’ Agile, SCRUM or waterfall/agile hybrid experience.

The salary wage range for New York that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $155,500 and a maximum of $202,500 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.

The salary wage range for Boston that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $155,500 and a maximum of $202,500 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.

The salary wage range for Washington, D.C. that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $145,900 and a maximum of $189,900 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.

The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
