Senior Kafka Software Engineer

Now, let's make sure you're a good fit for the role: _Must-have Skills_ * Strong expertise in Kafka (preferably w/ Kafka Streams and Kafka Connect). * Experience with at least one of TypeScript, Kotlin, Python, or Java. * Hands-on experience in managing Kafka infrastructure (not limited to AWS MSK). * Proficiency in debugging, upgrades, and resolving Kafka broker issues. * Solid understanding of Kafka configuration and scalability best practices. * Desirable familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Airflow. * Experience implementing monitoring and maintenance strategies for Kafka infrastructure. * Experience integrating Kafka with other platforms and systems. _Nice-to-have: _ * AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows. * Experience in cloud environments such as AWS. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for deploying and maintaining Kafka services. * Knowledge of security best practices for Kafka.
