SENIOR LASER APPLICATION ENGINEER
The Laser Application Engineer will set up and operate Getech laser depaneling machines, provide customer training, and troubleshooting laser-related issues on-site or remotely. Strong communication skills are essential to coordinate with customers, vendors, sales, and engineering teams. Prior experience is a plus, but fresh graduates are welcome, with on-the-job training provided. Interest or experience in laser cutting or marking is preferred but not required
Job Descriptions:
- Perform laser unit installation and alignment on Getech laser depaneling machines.
- Configure depaneling machines according to internal specifications and customer requirements, including camera calibration, field calibration, and software debugging.
- Conduct health checks on incoming laser units and coordinate with vendors to resolve defects or delivery issues.
- Maintain records of laser parts and optical components installed on machines.
- Support laser processing experiments and studies as needed, including laser cutting trials and measurements of processed samples.
- Troubleshoot laser-related issues on deployed depaneling machines once proficient.
- Provide customer training, demonstrations, and guidance on process parameters and machine operations once proficient.
- Collaborate with internal design teams and external vendors to develop solutions for unique customer applications once proficient.
- May require up to 5% overseas travel.
Job Requirement:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
- Strong interest and hands-on experience with machines.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, with proven experience in the automation industry and working with automation machines.
- Strong knowledge of laser machines; experience in optics and laser systems is highly advantageous.
- Possession of a laser license.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical solutions independently.
