Senior Linux System Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure : Administer, maintain, and evolve diverse server infrastructures, with a strong focus on RedHat;
• Automation : Develop and meticulously maintain scripts (Bash, Python) and playbooks (Ansible) to automate deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks;
• Security : Implement stringent security best practices, proactively manage patching, harden systems against threats, and swiftly respond to security incidents;
• Performance : Monitor system performance using cutting-edge tools like Zabbix, Grafana, and Prometheus, analyzing bottlenecks and strategically optimizing resources;
• Innovation : Actively participate in designing new architectures, lead migration projects, and implement new technologies such as containerization and cloud solutions;
• Problem Solving : Provide expert Level 3 support, diagnosing and resolving complex issues, and contributing to an on-call rotation;
• Technical Documentation : Maintain clear, concise, and up-to-date technical documentation of systems and procedures.

Academic foundation & experience: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Possess a minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration within a demanding production environment.

Must-have

• Strong expertise in scripting (Bash, Python) and automation/configuration management tools, particularly Ansible;
• Solid understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware) and containerization (Docker);
• Familiarity with web servers (Apache, Nginx) and application servers (Tomcat);
• Proven experience with monitoring and logging systems (Zabbix, ELK Stack, Prometheus);
• Working knowledge of Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP);
• Experience with databases (MySQL, MariaDB);
• Fluency in both French and English.

Nice-to-have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes;
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL.
