Senior Manager, Accounting Solutions

This is a high-impact leadership role shaping the future of a rapidly scaling bookkeeping and accounting services organization. You will define the strategic direction and operating model for service delivery, with a strong focus on automation, AI adoption, and scalable processes. The role blends operational ownership with product-minded thinking, requiring you to redesign how accounting work is delivered end-to-end. You will lead and grow a high-performing team while navigating a fast-evolving technology and tooling landscape. Cross-functional collaboration will be central, partnering closely with product, fintech, and operations teams. This is a role for a builder who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by transforming service delivery at scale.
Accountabilities
- Own the strategic roadmap for bookkeeping and accounting service delivery, anticipating customer needs and evolving market dynamics rather than reacting to them.
- Redesign and optimize end-to-end accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliation, quality control, and reporting workflows.
- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and tooling to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability of service delivery.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals, fostering adaptability and continuous improvement.
- Define and track key performance indicators related to service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction to drive data-informed decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, fintech, marketing, and operations teams to align accounting solutions with broader business strategy.
- Support complex accounting issue resolution and ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency across service delivery.
- 8+ years of experience in operations, accounting services, or service delivery environments, with significant leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience managing and scaling teams of 25+ people, including distributed or remote teams.
- Strong background in bookkeeping, accounting operations, or financial service workflows sufficient to guide process design and quality standards.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI, automation, or technology to improve operational performance at scale.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and data integrity.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
