About the Role

Suno is building the future of music creation, and as we scale, we’re building out a world-class People function to match. We’re looking for a Senior Benefits & Compensation Manager to join the People team as a key individual contributor, reporting to the Director of People Rewards, Operations & Systems. In this role, you’ll own two of the most consequential areas of the employee experience — compensation and benefits, designing and managing programs that are equitable, competitive, and distinctly Suno. You’ll bring deep expertise, creative thinking, and a sharp eye for detail to everything from open enrollment to compensation cycle execution, all while keeping the employee experience front and center.

What You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end compensation cycle execution, including data maintenance and updates, annual cycle changes, market benchmarking, and championing pay equity across the organization.

  • Lead and manage Suno’s benefits programs, including open enrollment, new hire and mid-year changes, broker relationship management, and benefit plan administration and renewals.

  • Manage benefit audits and required filings (e.g., ACA, 5500), handling them directly or in close partnership with brokers and external advisors to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Design and deliver candidate and employee-facing communications, resources, and training for compensation and benefits programs, translating complex information into clear, accessible content with an employee experience lens.

  • Partner closely with Finance, the Talent team, and HR Business Partners to support headcount planning, leveling, performance management cycles, and compensation-related decision-making.

  • Support talent planning and management processes as the scope evolves, including leveling frameworks, performance management resources, and related compensation infrastructure.

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, with demonstrated specialist-level depth in both areas, ideally in a high-growth tech environment

  • Deep knowledge of US benefits plan design, administration, and compliance, including open enrollment, ACA, COBRA, ERISA, and required filings, with creative, forward-thinking approaches to benefits solutions

  • Strong understanding of compensation practices, including market benchmarking, pay equity analysis, leveling, and managing compensation cycles and processes end to end

  • Proven ability to design employee communications, resources, and trainings that make complex topics clear and engaging, with a strong employee experience lens

  • Exceptional attention to detail; you catch what others miss and take pride in accuracy across data, filings, and program execution

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with experience partnering with Finance, Talent, HR Business Partners, Internal Comms on shared programs and priorities

  • UX-oriented; you care how policies feel, not just how they function

  • Comfortable balancing compliance rigor with startup speed

  • Hands-on with AI tools and motivated to embed automation into daily workflows

  • Experience working with multiple external vendors and knowing how to manage those relationships and agreements effectively
