Introduction:
In this role you will be responsible to establish the business strategy for GlobalFoundries China Auto business through 2030 and execution plan with detailed actions. Develop Strategic relationships with customers, Auto OEM and Tier1 and assigned accounts with eco-system partners to achieve success across a 5+ year horizon.

Your Role

Strategy, Revenue & Business Growth

  • Develop, communicate, and execute account strategies for assigned Auto customers in China

  • Own and deliver Sales Revenue, Design Win, and Tape-Out targets

  • Drive detailed account plans to secure design wins and long-term business growth

  • Manage forecasts, forecast responses, and territory revenue to align with factory loading and supply planning

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with Auto OEMs and Tier 1 customers

  • Establish strong customer intimacy with sourcing, engineering, and business unit leadership

  • Negotiate commercial agreements and long-term partnerships at the executive level

  • Act as the regional champion for GlobalFoundries’ Auto solutions at industry events, conferences, and customer forums

Market Insight & Solution Positioning

  • Understand China Auto market dynamics, customer product roadmaps, and technology requirements

  • Identify and position optimal GlobalFoundries solutions (technology platforms, IP, differentiators)

  • Define market requirements for new technologies, features, and design IP

Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

  • Collaborate with Sales, End Markets, Technical Sales, Design Enablement, Technology Development, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams

  • Drive alignment and accountability across organizations to deliver customer and market needs

  • Create urgency, resolve issues proactively, and use data to advance complex programs

Business Development & Proposal Management

  • Develop and deliver compelling customer value propositions, presentations, and technical collateral

  • Lead responses to RFIs/RFQs, including building business cases and securing internal approvals

  • Identify, develop, and close engagement opportunities tied to customer roadmaps

Operations & Governance

  • Oversee quotes, product disposition, and operational processes in a timely manner

  • Participate in business reviews, engineering discussions, and operational meetings

  • Establish and track KPIs to measure account performance, customer health, and business impact


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 15+ years of experience in serving automotive market, with understanding of semiconductor business and has knowledge what Foundry is doing is preferred

  • Strong relationship with Auto OEM, Tier1 suppliers in China

  • Deep domain expertise in Auto solutions

  • Travel Requirements: 25%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Material Science, Engineering and/or Business Administration

  • Language: Fluency in English to communicate with internal team
