The Role
The Digital Account Management (DAM) product area within Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS) is seeking a Senior Manager, Full Stack Engineering to help define the technical strategy, engineering direction, and delivery of digital capabilities supporting Institutional Account Onboarding and Account Maintenance. In this role, you will lead a high-performing agile team, partner closely with Product and Architecture leaders, and deliver modern, scalable, and resilient solutions that support Clearing Advisors, RIAs, home office associates, and representatives.
As a hands-on engineering leader, you will balance people leadership with technical leadership—guiding architecture, driving engineering excellence, and contributing directly to the development lifecycle. You will play a key role in advancing platform modernization, improving technical health, and ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-quality digital experiences. Success in this role requires strong collaboration across engineering teams, product management, architecture, operations, and enterprise platform partners. Responsibilities will include:
Partner with Product, Architecture, and Engineering leadership to define and execute the DAM engineering strategy in alignment with broader IWMS objectives.
Lead the day-to-day execution of engineering initiatives, ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, resilient, and production-ready solutions.
Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance, driving consistency, reusability, and adherence to enterprise standards across platforms and applications.
Remain actively engaged in software development through coding, design reviews, technical coaching, and hands-on problem solving.
Champion engineering excellence by advancing automation, testing strategies, CI/CD practices, code quality, and modern software development methodologies.
Drive modernization efforts that improve platform scalability, maintainability, performance, and developer productivity.
Enhance operational excellence through improved observability, reliability, supportability, and incident management practices.
Lead complex technical initiatives, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Develop and mentor engineering talent by providing coaching, performance feedback, career development support, and technical leadership.
Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing engineering culture focused on continuous learning, accountability, and innovation.
Continuously improve the health and sustainability of the platform, ensuring a strong foundation that supports future business growth and evolving client needs.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Demonstrated interest in developing the leadership, administrative, and organizational capabilities required for effective people management while continuing to lead as a hands-on engineering leader
Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and coordinating the delivery of complex solutions within agile teams
Strong commitment to remaining hands-on, including contributing code, conducting code reviews, and promoting engineering best practices
Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, JavaScript, Angular, and related modern application development technologies
Strong software architecture and design experience, including accessibility, security, resiliency, scalability, and enterprise technology standards
Proven ability to drive solution design, technical decision-making, estimation, dependency management, and execution of complex initiatives
Experience improving engineering effectiveness through modernization efforts, automation, technical health initiatives, and the application of AI-enabled development tools
Solid understanding of operational excellence practices, including observability, site reliability engineering (SRE), incident management, and production support models
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence engineering, product, and leadership teams
