About the role:
Our Life & Retirement Finance Transformation team works with insurers and retirement providers to navigate significant accounting and reporting change, including IFRS 17 implementation, finance transformation and regulatory reporting modernisation. The team works at the intersection of finance, data, actuarial and technology, helping organisations modernise how their finance functions operate and respond to new regulatory and reporting requirements.
As a Senior Manager, you will lead complex transformation and advisory engagements, combining deep technical accounting knowledge with practical delivery experience. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, shape solutions to real business problems and play a key role in growing and developing the team. The role offers exposure to large‑scale programmes, varied client challenges and the opportunity to build a strong leadership profile in a growing and evolving market.
What your days will look like:
In this role, you will provide leadership across finance transformation and accounting advisory work, including:
- Leading finance transformation and accounting advisory engagements for insurance clients specifically in the life and retirement space
- Overseeing end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring high‑quality, timely and commercially focused outputs
- Providing technical accounting and financial reporting advice on complex insurance topics, including post‑implementation change
- Working with finance, actuarial, data and technology specialists to deliver integrated client solutions
This role is for you if:
- Possess accounting certifications or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country.
- You have delivered finance transformation or accounting advisory projects within insurance life or retirement markets, which includes financial reporting and technical accounting
- You have a strong understanding of insurance accounting frameworks, including IFRS 17
- You have prepared or reviewed technical accounting papers and accounting policy documentation
- You have managed complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams
- You are comfortable engaging with senior finance leaders and explaining complex issues clearly
