Senior Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting
You will lead SEC and financial reporting activities, prepare and review filings and disclosures, and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls. You will translate complex accounting guidance into practical application, provide technical accounting support, coordinate reviews with auditors and legal, respond to regulator inquiries, and drive process improvements to streamline reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage preparation and timely filing of SEC reports including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and proxy statements
- Prepare and review supporting schedules for financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A
- Prepare disclosure checklists and tie-out documentation for SEC filings
- Maintain reporting calendar and ensure deliverables meet deadlines
- Lead review process with legal, external auditors, and internal stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement across the reporting function and streamline disclosures
- Establish and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls over financial reporting
- Prepare internal management and investor reports and materials for the Audit Committee
- Support regulator inquiries and information requests
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of risk
- Research and assess new accounting standards and translate guidance into application
- Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and cross-functional teams
- Support ad-hoc financial reporting initiatives and strategic projects
Requirements
- Active CPA
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Deep experience in SEC reporting (Regs S-X and S-K) and ownership of 10-Ks/10-Qs
- Strong foundation in US GAAP and financial reporting best practices
- Public company reporting experience
- Experience with Workiva (required)
- Experience with NetSuite (preferred)
- Mix of public company and Big 4 experience preferred
