Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, People Business Partner, will serve as a strategic advisor to business leadership and partner across the team to deliver our people strategy. They will embody our culture and core values at Make-A-Wish and will support leaders and employees in building high performing teams to foster a culture that supports client delivery excellence, employee success and the advancement of our mission.

The ideal candidate brings strong HR expertise, business partner and leadership experience. This role will report to the Director, People Business Partners and work on strategic HR initiatives, in addition to ensuring the alignment and execution of people strategy for assigned businesses.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Understanding of AI and ability to leverage technology tools
  • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Support organizational changes and business transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders on workforce strategies, leveraging key people metrics to inform and drive proactive, strategic workforce planning aligned to business needs.
  • Advise leaders on organizational design to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and scalable growth.
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition to support hiring strategies that align with business needs.
  • Partner with total rewards to support compensation planning, career development and recognition.
  • Address employee relations issues with a balanced, business focused and employee centered approach.
  • Coach people leaders on performance management, employee development, and talent management.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee matters, leave of absence management, policy interpretation and workplace concerns.
  • Deliver Human Resources projects, programs, and strategies in alignment with team and organizational goals.
  • Maintains knowledge of best practices, federal, state, and local employment laws/regulations; integrates into employee policies and practices.
  • Champion key business initiatives and workgroups to drive people strategy
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of human resource experience with 5+ years of HR business partner experience required.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

Working Environment:

  • Ability to thrive in a remote environment.
  • May require work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and outside normal business hours.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
