Senior Manager Pricing Operations

We’re looking for an experienced leader to join our Pricing team as Senior Manager, Pricing Operations. This role sits at the centre of how pricing is delivered across the bank, combining people leadership, commercial decision-making, and governance oversight.

This role is based in Auckland, with a centrally located Britomart office and a hybrid working model that supports balance and flexibility.

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Pricing, as Senior Manager Pricing Operations, you will lead the Pricing Desk, a team of five analysts responsible for delivering product & pricing support and managing pricing escalations. Alongside this, you will play a key role in strengthening pricing governance and risk frameworks, ensuring pricing decisions are consistent, well-managed, and aligned to strategic objectives.

This is a highly visible role with broad stakeholder exposure across product, distribution, and customer-facing teams. You’ll act as a trusted delegate for the Head of Pricing, stepping into key forums and contributing to pricing strategy and decision-making at a senior level.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the Pricing Desk team, driving performance and capability uplift

  • Overseeing pricing escalations and ensuring balanced and transparent decision-making

  • Continuous improvement of pricing governance, risk management, and control frameworks

  • Building strong relationships across product, distribution, and customer-facing teams

  • Contributing to pricing strategy and translating this into effective execution across the business

You’re a confident people leader with strong banking experience and a solid understanding of commercial or frontline environments.

  • Proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate, coach and lift team performance

  • Banking experience with exposure to product, pricing, or frontline operations

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Good commercial judgement and an understanding of risk and governance
