Senior Manager, SEO & GEO
Senior Manager, SEO & GEO
Search Engine Optimization & Generative Engine Optimization | Parallels
Push the boundaries of discovery. In your sweatpants.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager of SEO & GEO to lead the next evolution of organic discovery at Parallels.
This role will own our strategy across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms. SEO remains a critical growth engine for Parallels - driving visibility, qualified traffic, customer acquisition, and category authority. At the same time, discovery is rapidly expanding into generative AI experiences, where customers increasingly ask tools like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Copilot what to buy, how to solve problems, and which products to trust.
The Senior Manager of SEO & GEO will ensure Parallels continues to win in search today while building a leadership position in the AI-driven discovery channels of tomorrow.
This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role for someone who has deep SEO expertise and is excited to define the emerging GEO playbook. You will strengthen our technical SEO foundation, scale our content and authority strategy, and lead the company approach to improving how Parallels is surfaced, summarized, cited, compared, and recommended by AI-powered platforms.
You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Communications, and Channel teams to make Parallels more discoverable across the full customer journey - from traditional search queries to AI-generated recommendations.
Your team is global and works across multiple time zones, so comfort with remote work and asynchronous collaboration is critical. Understanding the virtualization space, developer ecosystem, Apple ecosystem, enterprise productivity landscape, and partner routes-to-market will be a strong advantage.
Why This Role Matters
Search is not going away. It remains one of the most important ways customers discover, compare, and choose technology products.
But search is changing.
Customers are increasingly moving from keyword searches to AI-assisted recommendations, conversational answers, and generated product comparisons. That makes SEO more important, not less - because strong technical foundations, authoritative content, structured knowledge, and trusted third-party signals are also what help AI systems understand and recommend a brand.
This role exists to help Parallels win across both dimensions: the proven SEO channels that drive growth today and the emerging GEO channels that will shape customer discovery tomorrow.

- Create content and information architecture that serves both human buyers and AI retrieval systems.
- Support digital PR and partner/channel content strategies that increase trusted references to Parallels across the web.
- Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate research, content optimization, competitive analysis, and workflow efficiency.
- Help simplify complex technical messages into clear, compelling stories for customers, partners, and search/discovery platforms.
