About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – WILP to build and lead Humanoid’s global Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics and Planning function, enabling scalable, reliable and cost‑efficient operations across London, Boston and Vancouver.
What You’ll Do
Strategy and leadership
Define and own the Supply Chain and Logistics strategy for the Business, aligned with company strategy.
Build the operating model, governance, KPIs and cadence for warehouse, inventory, logistics and planning
Lead, coach, and develop a team of WILP managers. Foster an environment of continuous learning and development.
Support the WILP teams across regional sites.
Set OKRs, KPIs, and performance expectations.
Foster a high‑performance, collaborative, curious and continuous‑improvement culture.
Decisive and data driven, able to make priority calls under pressure.
Confident communicator with customers and executives, keeps promises and raises risks early.
This role operates in a high‑complexity robotics supply chain with multi‑tier suppliers, long lead times, export controls, make-to-order, and engineer‑to‑order flows.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards across all WILP operations.
Act as deputy for the Global Head of Supply Chain & Logistics when required.
Planning and order fulfilment
Build a rigorous scheduling process for make to order, assemble to order and configure to order flows, including one piece flow where feasible.
Run daily and weekly tier meetings to manage exceptions, shortages, and expedites, ensuring clear root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
Lead the available to promise and capable to promise process, including project slotting and allocations during shortages.
Ensure export compliance, documentation accuracy and clean handover to carriers and customs partners.
Warehouse and Inventory
Develop and maintain inventory management processes to optimise warehouse operations.
Oversee and execute inventory counts, reconciliation, and audits.
Monitor and manage stock levels to meet customer demands and avoid overstock or shortages.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory processes and accuracy.
Lead and mentor the WILP teams at group and operational levels to achieve department goals.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
Logistics & Supplier / Customer focus
Define and manage the distribution network for scale and mass deliveries, including central DCs, regional DCs and cross docks.
Select and manage 3PLs (and potentially 4PLs), carriers and freight forwarders with clear SLAs and quarterly performance reviews.
Implement transportation management, route optimisation and consolidation rules that protect OTIF and cost.
Strong understanding of Incoterms and global trade compliance.
Good understanding of logistics processes across the Americas, UK, and Europe.
Ensure warehouse processes, WMS usage, inventory accuracy and cycle counting reach Group standards.
Build fulfilment playbooks for panel builders and system integrators, including call off models, kitting, pre assembly and sequenced deliveries to site.
Create a proactive milestone tracking and communication model that gives customers crystal clear ETAs and risks.
Agree service level agreements by customer segment, including OTIF targets, lead time windows and communication rules.
We’re Looking For:
10+ years of direct Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics & Planning experience, ideally in manufacturing, robotics, technology, aero / defence, automotive or FMCG.
Proven experience establishing or scaling direct WILP functions.
Degree in Business, International Supply Chain & Procurement Management, Engineering, or related field.
CIPS (MCIPS) Level 5 or equivalent; APICS CPIM desirable.
Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and negotiation frameworks.
Awareness of export controls (including EAR) relevant to robotics and technology.
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and database management.
Hands-on experience with ERP (for example SAP S4HANA), APS, WMS, TMS and analytics tools such as Power BI.
Proven success serving project based or engineer to order customers.
Proven leadership of multi‑site or multi‑region operations and external logistics partners
Expertise in S&OP, master scheduling, MRP and inventory optimisation.
Strong analytical, numerical, and planning capabilities.
Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, engineering‑driven environment.
Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities.
Professional, motivated, and able to operate autonomously and within teams.
