Senior Manufacturing Project Manager – Electrical Systems

Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Project Manager to oversee custom electrical equipment projects from initial customer requirements through final production, shipment, and project completion. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to successfully coordinate multiple departments while ensuring projects remain on schedule and meet customer expectations.
The ideal candidate has experience managing engineered-to-order manufacturing projects and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead custom manufacturing projects from project kickoff through final delivery and closeout
Serve as the primary contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate activities across sales, application engineering, design engineering, procurement, production, quality, logistics, and other internal teams
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules while tracking key milestones
Establish delivery schedules based on production capacity and material availability
Facilitate project kickoff meetings and monitor action items through completion
Manage engineering revisions, customer change requests, and schedule adjustments
Coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), project documentation, and shipment readiness
Identify project risks early and implement solutions to minimize schedule or cost impacts
Maintain project reports, schedule updates, delivery metrics, and overall project documentation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred
Five or more years of project management experience within manufacturing, electrical equipment, or electromechanical industries
Experience managing engineered-to-order (ETO) or custom manufacturing projects
Strong understanding of project scheduling, order management, and long-lead material planning
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and single-line electrical diagrams
Experience working closely with engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams
Proficiency with ERP systems and project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
Excellent communication, customer relationship, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting power distribution equipment including switchgear, PDCs, RPPs, STS, UPS systems, or similar products
PMP certification or active pursuit of certification
Knowledge of UL, NEC, ANSI, or other electrical industry standards
Experience coordinating Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and customer witness testing
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
