Senior Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilites:
- Plan, organize, and prioritize personal workload to ensure all contractual document submission and issue dates are achieved.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of individual project scope to prepare, monitor, and maintain Process Design Philosophy documentation while ensuring all design reviews and action items are completed on schedule.
- Ensure full compliance with departmental and company procedures in all work activities.
- Read, interpret, and apply project specifications, national standards, and international standards in the preparation and revision of accurate, error-free, and unambiguous engineering calculations.
- Liaise with drafting personnel to ensure engineering calculation requirements are clearly understood and properly implemented.
- Review and check engineering calculations and drawings to ensure technical accuracy, clarity, and compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Provide HSE leadership and ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and company HSE policies.
- Support other departments and perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs or as directed by the Team Lead.
- Manage engineering packages and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely package delivery.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
- Conduct risk and opportunity assessments as part of project execution activities.
- Identify and maintain organizational context, including internal and external issues and stakeholder requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of risk and opportunity mitigation plans.
- Promote customer focus, risk-based thinking, and process-oriented approaches throughout project execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a Mechanical Design Engineering role within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of international Oil & Gas industry standards.
- Supervisory and mentoring capabilities.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project execution requirements.
- Understanding of Company Quality Assurance procedures.
- Familiarity with Risk Assessment principles.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related engineering tools.
- Effective communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of pressure vessel calculations, nozzle load analysis, structural load calculations, drafting, and CAD applications.
- Experience in package management and vendor coordination.
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
