Senior Network and Security Engineer

You will be a key technical reference for the design,implementation, and day‑to‑day operations of our global network and securityinfrastructures, supporting a highly distributed, international environment.

Role Synopsis and profile

As a Network & Security Expert within the Corporate IT Infrastructures team, you will:

Design & operate network infrastructure

  • Design, implement, and operate LAN/WAN architectures
  • Manage and optimize cloud connectivity (interconnection with public clouds)
  • Act as Routing (BGP) expert, ensuring performance, resilience, and scalability
  • Contribute to the design, rollout, and tuning of SD‑WAN solutions
  • Lead regional network projects and collaborate with international IT teams

Design & operate security infrastructure

  • Operate and improve firewalling solutions in line with IT security policies
  • Manage and secure IPSec / SSL VPN for remote sites and users
  • Contribute to SASE architecture design, deployment, and operations

Operations & Performance

  • Operate network, security, and related system components on a daily basis
  • Monitor infrastructure health and performance (capacity, latency, availability)
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations and improvements
  • Ensure a high level of availability and service continuity for critical services

Incident & Problem Management

  • Acknowledge, qualify, and categorize incidents and service requests
  • Troubleshoot complex network and security issues (L2–L4+)
  • Coordinate escalation to internal and external experts/vendors when necessary
  • Contribute to root‑cause analysis and long‑term corrective actions

Support & Collaboration

  • Provide Level 3 expertise and support to local IT teams worldwide
  • Advise users and managers on new products, solutions, and best practices
  • Train IT staff and key users on network and security solutions
  • Work closely with cross‑functional project teams (infrastructure, applications, security, etc.)

Documentation & Governance

  • Produce and maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation (diagrams, procedures, standards)
  • Contribute to the definition and application of IT policies and standards
  • Provide regular reporting to Infrastructure Managers (status, risks, improvements)


Requirements:

  • 15 years of experience in network and security engineering/operations in large complex environments (multisite, international, hybrid cloud).
  • Degree in computer Science or equivalent, industry certifications desirable
  • Strong expertise in routing protocols, especially BGP
  • Solid experience with SD WAN solutions with various manufacturer standards, Paloalto, Cisco, Velo Cloud etc.
  • Good knowledge of cloud connectivity (interconnection with major cloud providers)
  • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN architectures, VLANs, QoS, redundancy, and high availability
  • Hands on experience with firewalls (design, policies, troubleshooting)
  • Proficiency in VPN technologies: IPSec and SSL
  • Knowledge and practice of SASE concepts and solutions
  • Good understanding of security best practices in network design and operations
