As a Senior Network Engineer, you are responsible for designing, optimizing, and managing our international network and security environment. You work closely with the IT Architect and act as the technical point of contact for both internal teams and external partners. With your hands-on mentality, you are actively involved in execution while maintaining oversight and contributing to the right architectural decisions. This is wat you bring to the team

  • Extensive experience as a (Senior) Network Engineer in complex environments.

  • Solid knowledge of various network concepts and vendors, such as routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, WiFi, load balancing, and security frameworks.

  • Experience with CATO Networks and/or similar cloud-based security and networking platforms is a plus.

  • Strong hands-on mentality: you take initiative, solve problems, and think ahead.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable way.

  • Experience in coordinating projects or sub-projects.

  • Affinity with workplace management and endpoint connectivity.

  • Proactive attitude with a keen eye for optimization and innovation.

  • Willingness to travel 20-25% approximately

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Managing, operating, and optimizing the Cato Networks SASE solution, including implementing new functionalities and monitoring network and security performance

  • Developing network designs and technical documentation

  • Coordinating and executing network segmentation projects (both design and implementation)

  • Hands-on management of network components and workplace environments

  • Troubleshooting, performance optimization, and lifecycle management of various network solutions

  • Collaborating with and supporting the IT Architect in strategic decisions

  • Aligning with stakeholders and suppliers; you maintain oversight and ensure progress

  • Willingness to travel to (inter)national locations when required
