Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary:

You will join our dynamic Tech team as a Senior Network Engineer, providing day‑to‑day operational support for global network services. Your responsibilities include incident management, change management, service requests, and production troubleshooting across both on‑premises and public cloud environments. You will operate and support network technologies such as switches, routers, NAC, sensors, IPAM, and monitoring systems to ensure worldwide service continuity. In this role, you will work closely with IT teams, supporting connectivity‑related topics and contributing to network‑related projects on a global scale.

Details:

At a global level, you focus on day‑to‑day operations and the maintenance of network and associated systems, working in close collaboration with IT teams worldwide. Your key responsibilities include managing global MPLS and Internet providers, operating and evolving cloud network infrastructure, protecting internal assets against cyber threats, participating in major network initiatives (such as office relocations, lifecycle renewals, and new deployments), and responding to security incidents in coordination with the SOC and M&C teams.

You ensure the performance, reliability, and availability of LAN and WAN infrastructures by monitoring throughput and producing metrics and reports for management. Your role covers LAN architecture and administration, supports service continuity through BCP and DR planning, and includes managing critical local facilities such as computer rooms and network closets, including HVAC and power systems.

In addition, you contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, processes, and network solutions across SCOR’s global environment. This includes supporting project design, integrating and validating new technologies, maintaining documentation, providing operational support, reporting activities, and managing incidents while ensuring that processes remain effective and up to date. In parallel, you support the evolution of global networks and cloud integration, working closely with security and technical teams on architecture and modernization initiatives to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Operate and support global network services by providing day‑to‑day operational coverage, including incident, change, and service request management, as well as production troubleshooting across on‑premises and public cloud environments.

  • Manage and secure global network infrastructure by operating core network technologies (LAN, WAN, SDWAN, MPLS, Internet connectivity, cloud networking, NAC, monitoring and IPAM) and protecting internal assets in coordination with SOC and M&C teams.

  • Ensure performance, availability, and service continuity through proactive monitoring, reporting, LAN/WAN architecture and administration, BCP and DR planning, and oversight of critical local facilities such as computer rooms and network closets.

  • Drive network evolution and continuous improvement by supporting major network projects, integrating new technologies, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with security and technical teams on modernization initiatives to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.

Required experience & competencies:

  • Deep expertise in enterprise networking and global network architectures, combined with a high level of adaptability and a strong motivation for continuous learning

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in enterprise network engineering

  • Proven expertise in LAN, WAN, routing, switching, MPLS, Internet, and cloud networking (on‑premises and public cloud); experience with SD‑WAN technologies is an advantage
    Technologies: Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto

  • Strong knowledge of network security principles, including firewalls, NAC, segmentation, monitoring, and incident response Technologies: FortiNAC, Palo Alto

  • Demonstrated capability in network design, architecture, and lifecycle management, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance

  • Solid understanding of cloud networking and hybrid connectivity models; strong knowledge of Azure networking (Azure Virtual WAN, VPN Gateways, vNet peering, private/service endpoints, load balancing); AZ‑700 certification is a plus

  • Ability to support modernization initiatives, including automation, standardization, and continuous improvement

  • Experience with configuration management and monitoring tools, including ThousandEyes, Cisco Catalyst Center, and IPAM solutions

  • Familiarity with agile and technical project management methodologies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global enterprise environment and to effectively facilitate meetings with diverse IT stakeholders

Required Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or a related analytical field; or professional equivalent experience.
